ORLANDO, Fla. —
Wednesday marks three years since 49 people were gunned down at Pulse nightclub in Orlando.
The June 12, 2016 shooting was the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history at the time.
The onePulse Foundation is holding their annual remembrance ceremony Wednesday at 7 p.m. outside the Pulse Interim Memorial on South Orange Avenue. Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Orange County Mayor Jerry Demings will be joined by Pulse survivors and first responders.
The event, which is open to the public, will feature an hour-long program.
The bells at First United Methodist Church on Jackson Street will toll 49 times in remembrance to the victims. Their names will also be read.
